The group Capoeira Angola Palmares was founded November 20th 1979 by Grande Mestre Nô in Salvador Bahia.Capoeira Angola Palmares NOLA & BR's mission is to promote, to preserve, and to teach the Afro-Brazilian artform of Capoeira Angola as passed down by the founder of Capoeira Angola Palmares, Grande-Mestre Norival Moreira de Oliveira (Nô). Capoeira Angola Palmares New Orleans is committed to giving classes, workshops, seminars, and demonstrations in traditional Capoeira Angola, Maculelê, and other forms of Afro-Brazilian culture.
